Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I'm Stephanie and I am your Certified Infant Massage Instructor!
I grew up here in Perth and after finishing high school, attended ECU and graduated with a Bachelor in Primary Education. I knew that I wanted to work with children and adored Primary Teaching but when my own babies came along, I realised that babies were in fact my forte!
After the births of my daughters, I used massage as a special time to bond with them. Taking a much needed break from the day-to-day stresses and to help overcome Postnatal Depression; giving my baby a massage was a healing and relaxing part of our day. My daughters are now 5 & 7 years old and my passion for Infant Massage has only grown, leading me to become certified with the International Infant Massage Association. I am now proudly teaching parents and caregivers the beautiful and highly beneficial art of Infant Massage.
I have always been a little clucky (ok... very clucky) and I adore spending my time meeting new parents and babies; getting to know them throughout the duration of the course. It is wonderful sharing my passion and knowledge with new families and watching them form strong and beautiful connections with one another, whilst also gaining skills that will serve them well for many years to come!

*Good to know: I have my Working With Children Check, National Police Clearance, Public Liability Insurance and am up to date with routine vaccinations including Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Coronavirus.*

Our Founder
The IAIM was founded in 1986 in the USA by Vimala McClure and was the first such global organisation.
Although infant massage has existed for centuries in many cultures around the world, Vimala McClure was the first to create a professional programme. Its theory, curriculum. and focus are unique and have been carefully developed and refined through research and practical experience.
The IAIM symbolizes a unity of people seeking to support nurturing touch between parents and babies. IAIM distinguishes itself by working internationally, across cultures. Today, the IAIM is an ever-expanding association with instructors in nearly 100 countries worldwide.

The Importance of Touch
Touch is the first sense to develop in utero and the last sense to leave us before we pass. It is how we show love and affection; it is vital in forming our connection to the internal and external world. With healthy and nurturing touch, a baby not only survives, but thrives.
